Chile: the Micr’Eau group sets out again to conquer construction and services markets in the water and arsenic sector
After having participated in several contracts for the construction of drinking water stations in the mining (Teck Bechtel north Chile) and urban (Sembcorp / Santiago de Chile) fields totaling more than 10 million euros, Pascal Guasp and his Franco Chilean teams are now setting out to conquer markets for the operation and maintenance of water treatment units with their local partners: Cobre y Metales and Molambiente, two Chilean SMEs employing more than 200 people in the mining and community services sector .
This targets markets previously won in construction as well as industrial customers in northern Chile made up of world leaders such as Codelco (in copper) and SQM (in lithium).
Micr’Eau sets up a pilot arsenic treatment unit by GEH
As part of its distribution contract with the company Wasser Chemie, the company Micr’Eau set up in August 2020 an arsenic treatment unit in thermal waters (temperature 34 degrees) using its filter Arsepur and the GEH media produced by its partner in Germany. This standardized unit is intended to equip any community or industry having concerns about contamination with arsenic, selenium, antimony etc …

Micr’Eau delivers Bayoxide E33 in France to treat arsenic
This summer, Micr’Eau urgently supplied the SDEA (Syndicat des Eaux d’Alsace et de Moselle) with Bayoxide E33, an iron hydroxide approved for the treatment of arsenic in drinking water in France in order to comply with health standards set at 10 micrograms per liter for one of the 400 municipalities managed by this intercommunal syndicate.
For nearly 15 years, the Micr’Eau group has distributed several hundred tonnes of this product for around fifty customers in France and on all continents.

The internship may be relocated to central France (Auvergne region) or Hauts de France (Lille region) depending on the detailed content of the service to be provided and the candidate's interest in the position and its geographical proximity to one of two targeted centres.
The candidate will have to:
-show real motivation to work as a team with different industrial partners,
-mastering drinking water subjects (water treatment and water chemistry in particular);
– practice at least one foreign language (German, Spanish or English) professionally
The internship will be paid according to the agreements in force with universities or large schools.
The internship would start from mid-September 2020.

Micreau assembles a gasometer for Octeva in Calais
Mounting a Hofstetter torch and a Sattler gasometer for OTV Grand Paris in Bonneuil (95)
Micreau and its construction teams have achieved the feat of mounting in less than a week two major equipment for the future station of Bonneuil in France (SIAAH- 500,000 Eq Habitants):
– A 1500m3 Sattler brand biogas stocker (Germany)
– A 600 Nm3/h Hofstetter capacity flare (Holland)
These two imposing equipments: torch 7m high and gasometer 10m high, will allow the biogas line designed by OTV to ensure storage and security of the process.
The combined amount of this transaction represents an investment of more than 160,000 euros HT.

Recent news on the resumption of biogas sites in France after deconfining:
1/ Micreau has just completed the Kerry project in the PACA region in May for the coverage of a high-rise gasometer on an industrial station operated by SAUR. This project carried out in one week mobilized 5 people from our company to resume operation within 8 days.
2/ Micreau will start the Hofstetter torch and Sattler gasometer installed by its care at the Ginestous/Toulouse treatment plant built by OTV Sud Ouest (Veolia Group) at the beginning of July.
3/ In June we install the Sattler gasometer on the Octeva site (Urbaser group) to store biogas from the methanisation of household waste in the Calais region.
Technical developments on arsenic in France and Chile
1. Micr’Eau filed a file for the I-Nov call for projects on May 12, 2020 on the ADEME platform to launch an in-depth research on the management of arsenic-related filter media and the treatment of arsenic in effluents.
2. In Chile, its subsidiary is continuing technical cooperation with Corfo, Chile's research and development finance agency, as part of a circular economy programme allowing it to test media filters saturated drinking water treatment plants, with the experimental fields located on the capital Santiago de Chile.
Micr’eau Group confirms new business in the arsenic and drinking water sector in France
1. For the haute Ariège union with pilot trials at a spa site to validate an adsorption filtration treatment line planned this summer.
2. In the central massif, the evacuation of GEH saturated from the largest arsenic treatment plant in terms of pollution
3. In the Paris region, the Micr’eau group acquires a high-concentration arsenic treatment pilot from research on micro-fibers and ion exchange resins
With these varied services, the Micr’eau Group confirms its leadership in the arsenic sector in France from the conception, to the commissioning of treatment units as well as the associated SAV.
Micreau is entrusted with an audit mission at the Alsatian site of Roquette frères for the storage of biogas
Micr’Eau and its leader Pascal Guasp, who has represented Sattler for 20 years in France, will soon be working in May on the roquette frères site in Alsace to audit the biogas storage facility of the yeast manufacturer.
Storage specialist in all its forms Sattler and its French partner have jointly built more than 60 biogas units in France and on all continents.
Micreau continues its technical partnership with the ERAMET Group in Argentina
By remotely following the ultra-pure water treatment unit it installed last year on the salar de los Ratones at 4000m in the north of the country; by respecting the rules imposed by COVID19 of strict compliance with containment but using the teletransmission means existing between France, Chile and Argentina, the Micr’Eau group will provide a technical assistance mission for the operation and maintenance of this very advanced unit.
A new biogas storage contract with the Agro Food Group Kerry
Kerry leader, one of the world’s leading agribusiness companies (26,000 people), an Irish-born group, is one of our new customers in the biogas sector.
The Grasse site has just placed an order in Micr’Eau for the installation of a gasometer on lNG to replace the old system of its treatment process. Micr’Eau will supply and install the DMGSTM model developed by its partner Sattler, the world leader in biogas storage.
The Micr’eau Group has just completed two new business of supplying filter media for the treatment of arsenic in drinking water in France
With these two new cases delivered in April 2020, the Micr’Eau Group and its leader Pascal Guasp, have installed and supplied in media filtering hydroxide iron (GEH or Bayoxide ) more than 80 arsenic processing units over the past ten years in France, Europe, South East Asia and South America, making it one of the world leaders in the sector.

Service contracts on biogas units in the Paris region
New contract for filter media supplies for arsenic treatment in France
Micr’Eau has just won a new contract for 4800 kg of GEH 102 filtering media supplies from one of its most loyal French customers located in central France; this security supply will be carried out in the coming weeks in order to build up a stock during Coronavirus period.
Media management against arsenic – Santiago de Chile
Micr’Eau is piloting the city of Santiago de Chile for 3 months to test several filter media to optimize the treatment of arsenic, this project is co-financed by CORFO, the public body in charge of innovation in Chile.
Various contracts with the group Veolia in the biogaz in France
Micr’Eau will install an Hofstetter Flare for the waste water plant of Bonneuil en France ( 500.000 people equivalent) to secure the biogasline .
Micr’eau is also entitled to install on the same site a gasholder from Sattler .
In the south west of France, Micreau will install two Sattler gasholders on post digestors for the Basse Ariège project won by Veolia in 2019.
