Micr’Eau continues to expand in the arsenic treatment sector

This spring, we commissioned several arsenic treatment systems using adsorption filtration in the private sector in France, including the Nutribio plant for industrial water production in Montauban; as well as in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region with a domestic unit near Lyon and a final treatment system at a mountain restaurant in Valmorel.

Three turnkey projects featuring compact units ranging from 3 to 16 m³/h, designed and built by our teams.

Several biogas projects have been completed over the past four months in France, including:

– The commissioning of the new gasholder for the Aix-Marseille-Provence metropolitan area on behalf of SERAM, operated by Suez. With a capacity of 4,500 m³, it stores biogas produced from the sludge treatment process in this metropolitan area of over one million residents.

– In the industrial sector, the installation of units at Giffard (49) with John Cockerill and at the Saint-Omer cardboard mill (62) to prepare for the energy recovery of biogas.

Two new projects carried out in collaboration with our Chilean subsidiary in early 2026: the supply of Sattler gasometers to replace existing biogas storage tanks at the Talagante wastewater treatment plant operated by the Aguas Andinas Group (Veolia), and in Temuco by Aguas Nuevas (Marubeni), to ensure the continuity of service in the biogas sector—one of our specialties in Chile, where we are the market leader.

Micreau Chile, together with its parent company Micr’Eau SAS in Paris, won the contract to replace a Sattler gasometer with a storage capacity of 1,040 m³ of biogas.

This unit had recently become inoperable and was therefore replaced with an identical model to enable the 500,000 population equivalent wastewater treatment plant managed by Aguas Andinas to regain its storage capacity within a few months.

Micr’Eau, which had already carried out an initial modernisation operation on the flaring system with the installation of a Hofstetter unit, confirmed its technical commitment to the largest private operator in Latin America (5,000 employees working on drinking water and wastewater around Santiago, Chile).

Micr’Eau took advantage of the summer of 2025 to modernise the biogas line (flare and gasometer) alongside operator Veolia in Lille.

We began by dismantling the two VSO gasometers that had been in place for around ten years, then replaced them with two new 3,800 m³ storage tanks manufactured by Sattler/Agrotel.

This operation was carried out without interrupting production during July and continued into September with the upgrading of the existing flare.

We would like to remind you that Micr’Eau is the only company capable of working on Sattler, VSO, BSDV, Ecomembrane and Ecothane gasometers in France and internationally.

It also represents the world-renowned Hofstetter flare brand.

Micr’Eau is the clear leader in France for the supply and installation of filter media in adsorption filtration units for treating arsenic.

This month, we delivered 40 tonnes of GEH to France’s two largest users of this technology.
